Modern Lake House

Around this time of the year I find myself under a lot of work related stress and pressure. I have always struggled with work life balance. During August & September I tend to feel as if my back is against the wall and all I can do is work. The last 2 weeks I have been doing a lot of reflecting on how I can put my mental health first above all and achieve some form of control during our season of event planning chaos. What I have realize during this time of reflection, is that I always find myself by the water. It’s like my soul comes free. It’s a reminder that there are things out there, that can’t be controlled in life. When I find myself drowning or lost, I let go, stop and just breathe. What does this have to do with Modern Lakes Houses? Well, if there’s any home I would consider a haven, it would be a lake house. Here’s some Design Inspo, that makes you stop and be still. Take in all of nature’s beauty, and remember to breathe and let go.

There is nothing like the comfort of cuddling in a deep sofa, surrounded by plush fabrics, and the people you love. Monochromatic, Black and White living spaces are my favorite themes to design with. It allows me the freedom of accessorizing with different textures and materials. Here is a design inspo I created from my favorite stores:
